Guyyyyyyys, I turned 25 on Friday. I’m a quarter of a century old! And oddly enough, it doesn’t give me an “ewww” feeling anymore. 25 is a very nice number. It has a very…grown-up ring to it.

I had an absolutely lovely birthday, too. My parents took me and my little sister Lillie out for a special day on the town. She turned 10 in January, so it was her “birthday date” as well.

First, we went to have my fingerprints done for my concealed carry permit. (*fist pump*) Then we went and picked up my repaired promise ring because…ahem…I…uh…I broke it. I got a little too enthusiastic on Inauguration Day and slammed my hand too many times on the table in British-Parliament-Style Applause, so…yeah, that’s my crazy Inauguration Day story.

Then we went out to eat. Cheesecake Bistro, guys. Lillie and I had been talking about this for weeks (because we get way too excited about food) so I, at least, already knew what I planned to order: crawfish ravioli, with Oreo cheesecake for dessert. It was magnifique.

Then–BARNES & NOBLE!!!! I bought myself some new stationery, and also my own copy of Mrs. Kennedy and Me. It’s written by Clint Hill, Jacqueline Kennedy’s Secret Service bodyguard, and it’s so good. I skimmed through it at the B&N cafe whilst sipping sparkling grapefruit juice.

From there we went grocery shopping, which I personally find quite fun–and then we headed back to my grandparents’, where the rest of my siblings were enjoying a Home Improvement marathon. I caught the tail end of it and laughed my head off. Such a fun show.

And then my brother and sister-in-law came over for the evening, and ’twas time for presents!

Okay okay, I bought Mrs. Kennedy and Me with my own money BUT THE OTHER TWO WERE PRESENTS AND I AM STILL SO HAPPY I COULD JUST ABOUT BURST. I’m reading them both. Like…at the same time. I keep one downstairs and one upstairs, and read both as time allows.

I love Dick Winters so much, y’all.  I don’t have the time or space to elaborate further, but these books are only deepening my already-enormous respect for him.

Yeah, this GIF of Emma Stone sums me up pretty well right now.

And as for that soundtrack at the bottom of the picture, I’m enjoying it immensely. Three cheers for new writing music! πŸ˜€

Anybody else reading any good books lately? I’d love to know!
